Click on the play Button for the Audio

Follow the numbers that appear in the picture below.
Blow the picture is a brief summary as well.

Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening. I want to take a few moments to walk you through how to use the audio and video page provided by the Stone Creek Republican Club. The page is organized with twelve numbered features.

Number one is the audio title. For example, this one is Episode Four.

Number two is the title of the specific audio, in this case “Save the Date.”

Number three is the play button.

Number four is the share option. By clicking “Share,” you can send the audio to family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and others. The more people who see it, the stronger the club’s reach will be.

Number five is the volume control. The small speaker icon allows you to adjust the sound louder or quieter. This works on both phones and computers.

Number six, on the far right-hand side, shows the total length of the audio. In this example, it is four minutes and fifteen seconds.

The long line in the middle is the progress bar, which shows how far along you are in listening.

Number seven is another play button, represented by the right-pointing arrow.

Number eight relates to the videos. In the upper left-hand corner, you will see a downward arrow. Next to it, you will see text such as “1 of 12.” The first video listed is titled “First Lady Melania Trump.” By clicking the arrow, you can access all available videos.

The system has been optimized for cell phone use, as most people view audio and video on their phones rather than desktop computers. This choice also helps accommodate individuals with visual impairments, such as macular degeneration. Still, the videos play very well on tablets and computers, and the display quality is excellent.

Number nine is the status bar for videos, showing progress as you watch.

Number ten is the microphone icon, which lets you adjust sound just like on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Number eleven refers to closed captions. All videos are automatically closed captioned. The captions are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, such as misspelling my last name, Truesdell. It is still a useful feature, and we appreciate your understanding.

Number twelve is the full-screen option. The icon looks like four arrows pointing outward. Clicking this enlarges the video to full screen, which is especially useful on phones, tablets, and laptops.

Here is a helpful tip: when watching video on your phone, turn it horizontally so that it matches the horizon. This expands the video and often fills most of the screen. By using the full-screen option, you can enjoy a larger, television-like experience.

We will continue to post both videos and audios regularly. Audio is especially useful for multitasking, such as driving, exercising, or doing household chores. It is also an important option for those with vision difficulties. Personally, I often listen to audio myself, including the Wall Street Journal, news updates, and podcasts such as Joe Rogan.

Different people prefer different formats. Some prefer reading, others prefer watching video, and many enjoy listening to audio. We aim to make all three available.

If you have questions, please use the contact form on our pages or speak with Greg, who will pass along your information. It is a pleasure to provide this guide, and we encourage you to explore and use these tools. The only bad question is the one not asked.

Have a great day.
